Well, it took 4.5 months, but I’m here to tell you, dear reader, that I have completed the next step in the grand DB Project.
Yes, I have finished up through the 2000 NBA season! Huzzah! Working with old Street and Smith’s magazines is proving to be slower than using the giant Sports Encyclopedia by Neft and Cohen, but I’m getting the hang of things. Also, a huge shout out to CheckOutMyCards.com – a great card-collecting website that has helped me immensely in finding info on players not listed in the Street and Smith’s.
This means that I’ve added the All-Time talents in Tim Duncan and Shaquille O’Neal, the great 1996 Draft (Iverson, Ray Allen, Kobe, Nash, etc.) and the dynamic dunks of Vince Carter to my growing database. Its power will only continue to increase as I next check in after getting completely up-to-date with the 2012 season. After that … well, I have a couple of special plans but will reveal them next time.

Yours and MINE! I’m a Mavericks fan so seeing us whiff on Deron, lose Nash to the Lakers of all people, and have Kidd change his mind for New York has been incredible tough.

I concede that, yours is worse. Although if I was a Mavericks fan, I would not want Deron Williams on my team at any price. I HATE him…..
God, I can’t believe Ray Allen would do that….I considered creating a Twitter and sending him a scathing message, but decided that I would regret that at some point….
