In my last post, I mentioned there was a huge announcement coming in June. Well, seeing as I’m running out of June, I should probably make that announcement!
By now, the announcement should be fairly obvious. Yes, NBA Sim will soon join the ranks of the ABA and slowly become a memory. Itis officially being replaced with SimHoop! There were several reasons for the name change. First, I found myself starting to look at basketball throughout the entire history of the sport and felt using “NBA” in my name would limit the impression of my scope. Secondly, “NBA” is a trademarked name by a fairly recognizable entity (I love you, NBA!) and I didn’t want to step on anybody’s toes, legally. Thus, it seemed like a pretty easy decision.
Now, if you’ve been a reader of the old NBA Sim, don’t worry. I’m not planning on changing anything, really. I’ll still be making my crazy, stats- and historian-obsessed musings on the sport of basketball and will continue to pursue insane projects (like The DB Project and the Fight of the Decade).
So thanks for sticking with me through this change. I promise I’ve got some really cool ideas coming soon to pay you back.

Thanks. There were many reasons for the change. A lot of cool things coming up, soon.
The DB Project is still a beast but I’ll have a big update on that VERY soon.

Awesome! Just noticed the logo changes everytime (yes, yes it was on your last site but these are cooler).
